Founded by award winning educator and teacher Dr Jon Carnegie (D. Ed., B. Ed., Dip. Youth Work), the Riverside Student Support Centre is an educational support service for young people seeking a personalised learning experience. With the aim of providing tailored, entrepreneurial and individualised program the Riverside Student Support Centre is both a bridge back into mainstream schooling or a step out and into the real world.

 

Maintaining a small cohort at Riverside, enables staff to work individually with each student and their families to establish their specific social, emotional and educational goals while also exploring potential vocational interests. By approaching education from the perspective of the individual and addressing the individual’s needs and interests, it encourages them to explore their curiosities and discover their own unique talents.
